The year 2002 was a very trying one for many Gambians both at home and
abroad. Many of us
have triumphed; yet many more have suffered setbacks, tragedy and loss.
As we begin the new year [2003], I hope we remember those less fortunate than
us by lending
a hand and or in our prayers. I also hope that we find it in our hearts to
forgive those that have
hurt and wronged us, and that those we've hurt and wronged, find it in their
hearts to forgive us.
To all, may the year 2003 bring you joy, good health, wealth and be filled
with everything you wish for.
Happy new year!

Maila Touray
