Joe, I share your concerns. We all understand that we can't stop, deny or persuade someone from forming a new group rather than joining an already established group but these are clear signs of the desire to divide, conquer and rule. Post Jammeh Gambia is worth being concerned about. Sometimes I can't help but wonder how much of this is about the liberation of the Gambia versus the desire for fame and fortune. I just hope that we don't fall into shit creek without a paddle. The way forward should be a transitional government with planned elections as soon as conditions permit not to have self elected people dividing government posts all among friends and supporters. That will be the rebirth of ugly.

Yero, remember what I said. "Let's Come Together" means come join us. It

is what I joke with a friend who is Bahai. They say the Bahai Religion

accepts all faiths and have many of the good aspects of other religions.

My question is, if you do not think yours is better than all the ones

that preceded you, why start one? Why did you not join those others you

claim to be good, instead of adding to the confusion? How do folks add

to the pile daily, yet, they complain that none is coming together? We

have Mandela on the loose; Matthew the most qualified Gambian to be

President; Ndoekeh Bayo our new General to lead us to the promised land;

and on and on. It is called Race to the Front. The more they say it is

not about them, the more it is about them. I better step aside before

another rumble to the front crush me with their speed.

Joe

Lad, Let's say that Kali has a point about what he described as positioning. I will take that as Organization Lesson 101. I am just at a point of confusion. Recall that part of what made our path difficult in all the past elections are problems relating to comprimise over political principle. It comes down to who will be the chosen leader. If all these emerging groups are able to unite around a common purpose for that one Gambia we all love and cherish, that would be great. Thanks guys. I don't expect to have an answer right away. Here is another group and please read.... Best regards,Yero

JAMMEH MUST GO, A WAY FORWARD

Our people have been the victims of oppression for many centuries by

internal and

external oppressors. Our heroic Ancestors had always resisted against all

types of

oppressors, though this long history of resistance is yet to result to a

permanent

victory. The need to come together and consolidate our forces to permanently

combat the present oppressor and restore social justice is the noble task

ahead of

us.

The APRC state terrorism against the people, cloned with the traits of the

dark past,

is the present stage of our people´s oppression. This despotic regime has

turned

the state into an institution of violence and violation of human rights,

imposing

a state of generalized fear and a program for national disunity.

Consequently, the

lives of our people are characterized by economic underdevelopment, massive

unemployment, social and cultural degradation.

The urgent task that we must carry-out as a people is to defeat the terror

regime

and prevent any subsequent post-APRC terror regime.

It is important as we face the present APRC state of terror, to learn the

lessons of

our past failures. We need to develop appropriate programs, correct

strategies and

tactics, create efficient and effective organizational structures, combined

with a high

level of discipline and dedication that can lead us to defeat the present

oppression

and restore a permanent victory.

The wave of change that has been sweeping dictatorial regimes around the

world

especially in North Africa and the Arab world should not leave Jammeh´s

regime

in the Gambia untouched. We have been witnessing how the reign of

dictatorial

regimes ended in those countries. The same fate awaits Yahya jammeh and his

regime. Even if he runs into a "Dirima dingko" "Pahi dirimo", we will smoke

him out

to face the justice he deserves. This is the time to come together to

remove this

oppressive regime from our backs and restore justice and the rule of law in

our dear

country. Yes, Jammeh must go!

ABOUT THE CONCERNED GAMBIANS

We are a group consisting of well disciplined and focused Gambians who are

willing

to link and network with other Gambians in the diaspora and in the Gambia

with

a common aim to end the decadent regime of Yahya Jammeh. To give support to

the efforts already initiated at home and abroad. We are convinced of the

fact that

without a serious and coordinated initiative, regime change in the Gambia

will take

far too long time to take place. Regime change is a priority. Jammeh must

go! Yes,

Jammeh must!

Long live the Gambia! Power to the people! Regime change now!

Thanks for the input, Kali.

May I say good luck to all in seeing everyone on the same table. There is no news that is better than that.

That said, I saw two pieces, one that is from concerned Gambians and another in the link below. I am starting to think that it is more worrying on jammeh's aftermath than getting rid of Jammeh. I don't think we need any more groups especially if it will make unity difficult.

Anyway, my sincere advice to any of these players is that we should be serious players, move beyond the partisan level and avoid making any of these organizations a friendship show. That has proved not to work in the past.

The compromise over principle will be an important factor.

Best regards,

Yero

Yero this is called positioning. It is when differents band together to create a force that can be counted when the distribution of power comes. It is mormal though and natural might I add so dont be alarmed.
