Mr. Daffeh,

Thanx for your notes. I want to use your notes to yield further value to my
review of Big H's interview on GRTS.

[In a message dated 4/29/2010 9:40:48 P.M. Eastern Daylight Time,
[log in to unmask] writes: You are right Haruna. Halifa has shut the door
on the possible inclusion PDOIS in any future all party coalition.] Daffeh.

No Daffeh, Big H has not closed the door on CHANCE union of opposition
parties. Big H leaves that door wide open because it will be the only way
PDOIS' tri-deca campaign will realize some measure of worth. However, even
while leaving that door cracked open, Big H and PDOIS are not counting on that
eventuality and time's running out. PDOIS' position is that as long as they
can increase their vote tallies even by a percentage point every election
cycle, they are making inroads into hardened hearts. They can keep FOroyaa
and Nyakoi nursery bureaus going and no-one can fault them for not wanting a
UNION of opposition parties. If you ask me brother Daffeh, I think this
UNION opposition thingy is way overrated. A people who can come together to
form a singular opposition party to contest an election with a criminal, can
surely remove that criminal in their sleep and not bat an eye. It is mere
gaucherie and charlatanry.

[The STGDP must take note of this and re-direct their efforts in building
a coalition of the willing tha will include all the other parties including
PPP-OJ.] Daffeh.

STGDP = Save The Gambia Democracy Project. At least that's what we are led
to believe. Democracy implies decision-making by concerned parties.
Democracy encourages Multi-partyism. You don't need to destroy Democracy in order
to institute democracy. I encourage STGDP to join well meaning Gambians to
organise demonstrations the world over to highlight political,
conscientious, and religious prisoners in Gambia. I encourage them to collaborate with
Hon. Mballow and The Human Rights Coalition of Gambia in the UK to amplify
the chorus for the persecuted in Gambia. I am tired of dishonesties.

[This is the fierce urgency of now. If they [STGDP] have actually broken
that umbilical cord that once bond them to NADD, then this shouldn't be a
problem.] Daffeh.

I trust your sense of smell brother Daffeh.

[There is no point debating the merits or de-merits of Agenda 2011 which,
frankly speaking, is a damp squib.] Daffeh.

Allez Daffeh.
Haruna.

First of all, your query was too vague for me to address it directly, so I
will give you my impression of the Interview Hon. Halifa afforded GRTS'
Ndongo Sillah.

1. As usual I commend Halifa for sharing ideas with me. I have always held
him in great esteem. He is sober, circumspect, and the ultimate planner. I
adore his precise and comprehensive disposition when asked to explain
matters germaine to PDOIS.

2. Agenda-2011 = PDOIS campaign and its going on full swing.

3. I admire that unlike some diasporans, Halifa is not fatalistic and he
is not in awe of Yahya. The opposition parties are indeed doing a lot but
need our ASSISTANCE not condescension and arrogance.

4. Halifa is no longer talking about a united coalition. That opportunity
has expired and there is no time to waste. I am confident UDP/NRP, ppp, and
GMC are not waiting for Halifa to design a coalition structure for them.
He has already done that and it was not successful. And going by UDP/NRP's
gradual campaign and GMC's diplomatic campaign, I think all sober opposition
parties are aware of the urgency of now.

I thank Coach for sharing the interview with us, and once again, the
incomparable Ndongo Sillah topped himself.

Haruna. I'll await your review Suntou.

Haruna
Like you, I will encourage everyone with the time to listen to Halifa.
Some strong words for the diaspora Gambians again. I am trying to analyse the
good bits of the interview, so listen to it before pre-empting. I will not
say anything Halifa didn't say, I will only make my obervation on the key
issues. So far, we can all kiss coalition with PDOIS goodbye if the
interview is anything to by.

Coach, there goes my entire afternoon. Thanx a lot. See you after I listen
to the erudite Halifa. I just hope it ain't Agenda whatever.

Haruna. if it is, you will see me back here in a New York minute. Knowing
Halifa though, he's liable to reserve it for the penultimate hour of the
interview. What can I say, I love the man.
