Gambia is amongst the smallest nations in the world . You will agree with me that US is larger and far more diverse than our beloved homeland. How did America do it? We all know what the blacks went through before a black president was elected. I will switch gears to quote from the New Testament. When Jesus was asked " should we pay taxes to Ceasear " , Jesus's answer was "renter to Ceasear what is Ceasear's and to God what is God's." We have to learn to bear to live together . There are certain things in life though ugly , we have to accept them. It all comes down to civility. Muslims will tell you what their beloved Prophet went through. So Gambia's case is not new . Having a different view from someone doesn't make him or her your enemy . I'm sure from Mandela's life is a good example. I don't want to make a long story .This is my answer to your question .
