As the Kombo East elections loom, I could only revisit what I call a lost opportunity. A united NADD would have without a doubt guarantee us a victory and set the stage for the winning in the October presidential. To all of us who worked tirelessly for a united front to bring about change, do not ever give up or let your emotion to get the best of you. It is ok for individual and organization to support different parties because all we want is to bring about real democracy that will ultimately create a peaceful and prosperous Gambia. Whether you support NADD, or UDP-NRP Alliance, it still makes strategic and tactical political sense to come together and remove the kind of politics that have kept Africa as the most backward people on the face of the earth. Our generation should be the generation hope that will set the foundation for the “politics of hope” in the Gambia. A united opposition still is the best political opportunity that can bring about change.

Thanks

Musa JEng
