Ladies and Gentlemen, I am very disturbed by the current exchange happening between some of the members on this list. I am kindly asking all parties involved to take a break from posting anything about the other especially mail relating to personal attacks.

These reoccurring arguments in Gambian forums are continuing to divide us as a people and also keeping a lot of potential contributors from participating. A majority of the list members and Gambians I speak with are very discouraged in the direction we are heading.

As young Gambians, we should be more focused on how to work as a team to take on our challenges rather than exposing one another in front of the whole world. We have nothing to gain by personally attacking each other. Rather we should work as a team, educate, help one another and most important encourage each other to help move our communities and The Gambia forward.

Please do not mistake my plea as an attempt to sound or position myself as a perfect individual. All I am saying is that we have nothing to gain on the current personal attacks taking place. If anything, we are pushing away a lot of contributors and casting doubt in the minds of Gambian sympathizers out there.

Unless we change our current trend of personally attacking each other, we will never accomplish any significant goal as a group.

Once again this is not an attempt to censor anyone, rather to encourage a healthy debate for the benefit of the rest.

Hope you all have a good weekend!
