Gambia Issued Arrest Warrant for NTGC Sedia BayoShare
A magistrate Court in the Gambian Capital, Banjul today issued a arrest warrant for the arrest of the leader of NTGC sedia Bayo for allegedly assaulting Gambia’s business tycoon Amadou Samba.The order to arrest Sedia Bayo followed application by the police prosecutor's for Mr Bayo to be arrested and brougt to the court to answer to two counts of assault, was granted with immediate effect.Magistrate Samsideen granted the said application.Sedia is wanted in Gambia for the incident that happened in this month of November in the Senegalese capital Dakar, after his security men of assaulted Businessman man Amadou Samba, according to the prosecutor’s bill of indictment.Read MoreComment (0)Hits: 15

Former Jammeh Strongman Sabally Granted BailShare
A high court judge today granted the former secretary General and minister of Presidential Affairs, detained for four months bail, in the sum D1.5 Million. Momodou sabally is also expected to surrender all his travelling documents to prevent him from fleeing the jurisdiction, the Judge said, while granting Sabally 40 bail.Justice Emmanuel Amandi said the fromer SG is a responsible man, who had served the country with a commitment to respect and fulfilled the terms and condition attached to his bail.Mr. Sabally used to be a close Jammeh aide. He is facing abuse of office charges. He was later slammed with five more charges this month including two counts of economic crime, three counts of abuse of office, two counts of neglect of official duty and one count of giving false information. Sabally, 40, is accused of giving false information to President Jammeh that one Alasan Ndoye had given him two vehicles “with intent to annoy and cause financial loss to Mr Ndoye, information he knew is false”. He is also accused of causing economic loss to SSHFC for D402, 500. Prosecutors further accused Mr Sabally of causing economic loss to the government of The Gambia for D38, 424 being money received as per diem allowance for a trip to South Africa in order to attend the inauguration ceremony of President Jacob Zuma, which he neglected to attend.
