Mawdo Yero, thanks for sharing...

It is absolutely ridiculous that the state and Minister Gomez will play
around with a citizen disappearance as if it is not a big deal... as the
point editorial stated...

"*Chief Ebrima Manneh is not only a journalist; he is also a bona fide
citizen of The Gambia. It is, therefore, incumbent on the state to use all
the resources at its disposal to find him, and put to rest speculation that
the young man has gone to the great beyond. *

*Keeping silent, or not doing anything, will only worsen matters. *

*One thing that is very clear is that nobody in this country is immune to
sudden disappearance or cold-blooded murder. If it can happen to Chief
Manneh and Deyda Hydara, then it can also happen to anyone of us. *

*Fighting for Chief Manneh should not just be seen as a media affair; it is
a national matter, because he is a citizen of this country who has
disappeared in mysterious circumstances, for five years now! *

**

It is the moral responsibility and duty of the state to produce Chief Manneh
or account for his whereabouts.

One thing is absolutely clear without an iota of doubt that Chief Manneh was
indeed picked up by plain clothes state agents and was last seen in the
custody of the State. He never returned to his family, or else why would his
father be looking for him all over the place...

I think action should be taken to further put pressure on the state to
account for this youngman especially in light of the irresponsible
statements the Minister Gomez is making...

This administration is putting themselves in even a worser situation on
chief manneh... The young man never committed a crime that would amount to
disappearance or 5 years incommunicado...

He must be produced dead or alive!!!!

Demba
