Soccer Fans,

It has just been announced over the BBC World Service news that the entire
Ivorian National Soccer Team has been "detained" at an army camp immediately
upon their return to Abidjan from the CAF Tournament (African Cup of
Nations).

The reason for their detention is given as protecting them from raving-mad
fans. Is football worth all this commotion, asks Sandra.

Ebrima Ceesay.
