Après l’assassinat mercredi soir à Tombouctou d’un officier de l’armée, l’enquête s’oriente vers les islamistes d’al-Qaïda au Maghreb. Selon des sources sécuritaires
, un premier suspect a d’ailleurs été arrêté jeudi. Si cette piste était confirmée, ce serait la première fois que des islamistes tuent un militaire=2 0malien. Après l’assassinat le 31 mai du touriste britannique Edwin Dyer, le gouvernement de Bamako avait fait savoir quâ€8 4il voulait désormais mener une «  lutte sans merci Ã‚» contre les combattants islamistes. Dans la ville de Tombouctou, ce meurtre d’un officier de l’armée a en tout cas provoqué un certain émoi. Dans cette traque anti-al-Qaïda au nord du Mali et dans la bande sahélo-saharienne on définit déjà les rôles. Les populations locales se réunissent actuellement pour délivrer un message d’unité, de paix, mais avec une volonté affichée : aider l’Etat notamment à identifier les groupes de suspects. L’Etat malien, de son cÃ=C
6´té, sera plus présent sur le territoire. Renforcement du dispositif militaire donc et multiplication des patrouilles. Mais pour Bamako, il faut une vaste offensive contre al-Qaïda dans toute la sous-région. D’où la nécessité d’impliquer plusieurs autres pays. (Rfi)
