Excuse the prior links...I have too many windows open

Bro Haruna,

Thanks for your timely forwards about Guinea Conakry. Excuse my lack of fluency in French. I also understand your support of Dadis, meaning to give him the benefit of doubt fully. I am becoming scared by the hour about happenings in Guinea Conakry. This owes partially to what Gambians have encountered. If my young age can remember well, it was the same way Jammeh started. He grew poisonous tentacles by the hour and ended up growing to a full size dictator. It is a political toad-metamorphosis, from one stage to another until they reach to a full size to where they can croak like limping frogs. If Dadis have a way of emulating Tumani of Mali or Obasanjo of Nigeria, he could help safeguard his country’s threatening image. Where he (Dadis) chooses to stay, I truly wish him well, and I only hope his actions won’t disappoint us. I, for one bit, won’t doubt your wishing “guidance” and “success” for him, but there got to be that moment when one holds onto his breathe, and says “Wait a second now!”

The links below as forward by Dr. Jaiteh echoed in my ears….and it sent waves of panic attacks in my heart.

I spoke to my auntie in Conakry on Friday and she shared that all shops would close and work would stop in Conakry for Monday's demonstration. The atmosphere was tense and La-Guineans were urged to stock up on essentials over the weekend. Most of the demonstrators were the youth of La-Guinea whose favour Dadis was focused on attracting. More demonstrations are envisaged throughout this year. Allez Haruna.

To unsubscribe/subscribe or view archives of postings, go to the Gambia-L Web interface at: http://listserv.icors.org/archives/gambia-l.html To Search in the Gambia-L archives, go to: http://listserv.icors.org/SCRIPTS/WA-ICORS.EXE?S1=gambia-l To contact the List Management, please send an e-mail to: [log in to unmask]
