Thanks for the correction.  Hamat did a wonderful job during his last stint
at NAM.  For a long time, it seemed as if he was the only one "holding the
fort" in parliament.

He must however disassociate himself from the Sheriff Dibba, who as speaker
of the house does not believe in debate, as it pertains to politics and
parliamentary duties.  Sheriff has also bought into the whole "national
interest" concept.  This IMO is a surefire way for Hamat to still keep his
eyes on the prize by challenging the legality of some moves made by the govt..

Sheriff needs to twist his 14th century admiral hat around and snap out of
it.  The honeymoon and celebration is over as it pertains to his appointment
to parliament.  We understand the suffering that he went through after years
of hard work for his country, but he owes it more to the Gambian people as
opposed to Yahya Jammeh to be a good speaker of parliament.  But the question
is whether he is capable?
