Is Alieu Sanneh your cousin or not. That will close my case. I think we need Alieu Sanneh to clarify if indeed he were our cousin. Remmember, just because you don't know him doesn't relive him of relation with us as cousin. This is my quandry. To err is human and to correct err is also human. Completes humanity. Ndokeh, you know that doesn't help me much. I know no harm was intended and the case may be closed for you Ndokeh. But I'm sittin here confused as to my relation with Alieu Sanneh. How are you and your family? It`s been a long time, even though in your business we get to hear some news about you. I am keeping very well too.
 
I am compelled to send you this email because of some recent discussions on Gambia-L. It has been brought to my attention, and I have verified by reading Gambia-L archives that some Alieu Sanneh is being confused for me. This is to clarify that I am not Alieu Sanneh; in fact, I am no longer subscribed to Gambia-L9having de-registered since 2006).
I address this to you so that you can help clarify that on my behalf.
 
You and I know each other long ago; and there are a lot of people on the L that know me too. I have never been a fraud, an impostor or even slightly a coward. When I used Gambia-L, I used my full names with my official email address, so I have no reason now to hide behind some pseudo name. You are right that I am your small brother from Niamina and Yerro is right too that I will not do something like that. Thanks for that confidence Yero. I think Alieu Sanneh should also clarify that he is not Alieu Darboe(I have not read all the posts, may be he did).
 
But just to say that I am not Alieu Sanneh, I have never been to Minnesota, let alone live there and I am not on Gambia-L. My integrity has always been important to me and I have done a lot personally and officially to defend freedom of speech in The Gambia. There are very many people on this listserv who could attest to that.
 
So this is not to confront anyone, I have always believed in the sanctity of individual freedom, including freedom of expression, and I remain doggedly committed to that. However, it is to clear the confusion around my name since this is a public forum. I will be glad if you could post this to the L for all to see.
 
Apart from that I think subtantive discussions in an open forum like the L is good for The Gambia and Gambians and wants to thank all who are part of it. I will re-join sometime later, for now, I am consumed in further graduate work that I am doing.
