UDP and it's alliance partners GMC and PPP would like to launch an
   urgent
appeal to all diaspora Gambians to laise with their family members and
   help
deliver a decisive victory. You have the power to determine Gambia's fate
   by
simply and quietly working with those that are close to you. Tell them
   to rise early,
join the queues, vote and go home. Those of you with families in the
   rural areas
should be especially vigilant about warning them regarding the
   machinations of
APRC operatives who show up at night just days before the elections to
   attempt to
coerce or induce support. You are the only person that can insulate them
   from
the predatory tactics of governors , chiefs , alkalos , and other
   fly-by-night APRC
functionaries who are only interested in themselves and are just out to
   use your
   family for their selfish ends.

Tell them to firmly resist any attempt to take custody of their voters
cards or otherwise dissuade them from voting. Yahya
Jammeh senses the palpable anger simmering in the electorate and their
strategy is to try to suppress turnout and you
can deny them that opportunity by ensuring that your extended family votes
for Ousainou Darboe. Intervene early and
sustain your involvement until after the vote has been cast.

Finally UDP and it's partners would like to ask for your help in their
strategic transportation initiative which is aimed at
reserving as many vehicles as possible to transport some of our voters to
far flung districts in the last 48 hours before
people go to the polls. You can help by directly offering a gele gele, van
or truck if you own any of these high capacity
vehicles or alternatively if you can arrange to hire one or more of these
for a dedicated route say from Barra to
Janjanbureh. If you want to contribute money for this purpose , please
contact Campaign treasurer Ahmadou Sanneh at
9916030 in Gambia or contact the party on the web at UDPgambia.com to
facilitate the help you are offering. The
Campaign is grateful and heartened by the tremendous support of the
diaspora similar to what the voting public is
exhibiting. Ousainou and the entire team are interacting night and day with
the Gambian people from hamlets to urban
living rooms, discussing the way for a better future.Together we can begin
a new journey in peace with dignity.Keep the
nation in your prayers and do the little you can because the road to
liberation requires broad participation.May the
Almighty bless all of you.
