Dear Mr. Teco Benson,
I was shocked when I read from one Rasmus Brendstrup of the DFI in which you call me a "charlatan and cheat" and he further lied that I am a fake prince without he presenting evidence of any investigation into my family background.
This is a clear case of character assassination.
If you do not withdraw your statement and tell this guy to correct his derogatory remarks, I will consult my lawyers for defamation law suit against both of you.
Out of courtesy I took time to answer to the questions of Mr. Brendstrup not realizing that he is out to spread lies and rumors. Thank God I did not send him the new name and logo for the Nigerian film industry. He insisted on knowing but I said not till the right time.
Last year when I informed you TECO BENSON about my film fund and rebranding project like I did to all other stakeholders, you emailed me back to acknowledge receipt and I promised to keep you updated.
Teco Benson can you in any case of your life present proofs that I am a charlatan, fake prince and fraudster? Did I ever ask you for money? Have I ever collected your film and refused to pay? Do you know ANY HUMAN BEING WITHIN YOUR NETWORK WHO CAN TESTIFY BEFORE A SERIOUS COURT OF COMPETENT JURISDICTION THAT I (PRINCE BUBACARR SANKANU) defrauded you or your associates directly or indirectly?
Will a fraudster keep you updated on the changes of website and progress of a serious project?
This is the problem not just with Nigeria and Africa but with human beings. Anyone who comes up with bold idea is finished off.
We all know there are serious challenges facing the Nigerian film industry but the people who are taking the trouble of finding lasting solutions are destroyed while the politicians, parasites and pariahs are celebrated.
From the very first day I started by rebranding project in 2008, I took the trouble of writing to any stakeholder whose contact I got. I sent letters to the Federal Ministry of Information and Communication, Nigerian Film Corporation, The National Film and Video Censors Board, The Coalition of All Guilds and Associations of Nollywood,CONGA, Actors Guild of Nigeria, The Federation of Pan African Filmmakers (FEPACI), Directors Guild of Nigeria, African Movie Academy, and so on and so forth.
The copies of all letters are available for verification.
I MAINTAINED AND CONTINUE TO MAINTAIN TRANSPARENCY WHILE GIVING STAKEHOLDERS THE CHANGE TO CORRECT ME ANYTIME THEY SO DESIRE.
I deliberately refused to be part of the nollywood hype and politics and if this means calling me names, go ahead but I SHALL NOT QUENCH OR BUDGE!
Anyway, who is not satisfied with my 10-year rebranding blue print downloadable from the link at the bottom of this email, is free to draft his or her own. It is a free world where the battle of ideas serves as catalyst for prosperity.
I hope you and Mr. Rasmus Brendstrup will withdraw your lies and hatred against me in the name of HONESTY AND SINCERITY.
