Haruna. Reid is good for Nevadans and Nevada.

Dear Haruna,

I’ve spent an awful lot of time taking the fight to extreme right-wing Republicans over the years. But, I’ve got to tell you, there’s one Democrat running for US Senate right now that, even in my best days wrestling alligators, I wouldn’t want to outlast in a boxing ring.

That candidate is Harry Reid. At a time when too many Democrats are content to get batted around like a human piñatas, Harry is going on offense – championing his record of creating jobs for Nevada and our country, and exposing Sharon Angle’s lunacy for what it really is.

This race is as close as they come, and nothing less than the future of our country is at stake. Sharon Angle has raised an eye-popping sum of money from her tea party followers, and now she’s flooding the airwaves. So please, help my long-time friend Harry Reid strike back. This is a fight we can win, but we need to help Harry close the deal in these final days.

The difference between these candidates is night and day. In fact, Sharon Angle was caught on tape telling an audience that energy resources like solar, wind, and geothermal are just “designer energy.”

Designer energy? With Harry Reid in the Senate, these clean and renewable resources won’t just power Nevada’s homes and businesses, they can power its economic recovery. Thanks to Harry, Nevada is at the front of the line for the jobs that will be created as we move to a clean energy economy. He fought to bring renewable power transmission lines, solar manufacturing plants, natural gas facilities, wind turbine manufacturers, and geothermal projects to Nevada, creating thousands of jobs and laying the foundation for many more--if we have leaders who continue to make these smart investments.

Of course, Sharron Angle doesn’t think creating jobs would be her job as a U.S. Senator. But here in the real world, we know that Nevada needs jobs--and we know that it’s got a Senator in Harry Reid who will never stop fighting to create them.

Sharron Angle must be stopped--click here to make a contribution to Harry Reid today!

Nevada has a pretty clear choice. Stick with Harry Reid, who’s made the state an epicenter for clean energy jobs--or let Sharron Angle and her no-new-jobs philosophy short out Nevada’s chance at being a leader in the 21st century economy.

Now it’s up to us to make sure Nevadans understand that choice. Please click here to contribute!

Thanks,

Terry McAuliffe
