The recently sacked Secretary of State for Local government, Lands and
Religious Affairs, Lamin Kaba Bajo has vowed to continue his political
activities with the ruling APRC, his removal from office notwithstanding.
The former army Captain made this remark during the Brikama meeting of APRC
last Sunday. “People will say all that they want to say but it is my duty to
attend APRC programmes. There has been a lot of noise since my removal, but
I will start talking if the opposition parties say all that they can”, he
said, adding that APRC has reached a stage where “only intolerance can
impede the party’s efforts. The enemies of APRC will say all bad and
unfounded stories about the government because they are scared of the rapid
development the party is undergoing. President Jammeh has won the admiration
of Gambians because of the fortunes he has brought to The Gambia.” Mr Bajo
further disclosed, among others, that opposition parties “always hate to see
the government develop the nation.
