OFDA currently has a need for ONE person for the
position of REGIONAL
ADVISOR in Burundi and Rwanda . This is initially a
1-YEAR contract. This
position is at the GS-14 equivalent level ($63,567 to
$82,638 annual). The
solicitation closes 1/13/2000.

EG-Cairo-Sr.Program Manager - Telecommunications
Job Responsibilities
     Has total responsibility for the management of
the USAID/Telecom Egypt
     Telecommunications Sector Support (TSS Project.
Directs all activities required for the effective
     completion of a significant technical program.
The program consists of Engineering and Program
     Management consulting services rendered to the
Egyptian national telephone company (Telecom
     Egypt). Specifically, the services consist of
procurement and engineering consulting services
related
     to their Digital Switching, Outside Plant and
Network Operations Center complexes. The Program
     Manager is based in Cairo. The
     program is funded and administered by the U.S.
Agency for International Development (USAID).

     Education/Equivalent Training Required:
     Must have a Bachelors Degree in Electrical
Engineering.

     Customer Requirement:
     Must have a Masters Degree. It should be in
Engineering, but an M.B.A. is acceptable. The U.S.
     Agency for International Development (USAID) will
not accept equivalent training in lieu of a Degree.

     Experience:
     Should have a minimum of 15 years experience in
advanced Engineering/Program Management
     activities and must have overseas experience,
preferrably in underdeveloped nations. Experience with
     U.S. Government contracting procedures is a plus.
Must have senior level telephone company
     experience.
