Thanks for that back ground. Pa Njie is a gem. I have learnt a lot from the oral history section especially. Notwithstanding the narrations by the late Bamba Suso, i enjoyed them a lot. The Suso kunda are our cousins.
The Fawung clip is interesting also, this is a small world. I for one enjoyed the proactive Gainako coverage of the ALD, kudos to the team. Yero, I think we the readers take the free news for granted in most cases. In the Gambia, they sell news, online we read it for free. Hence, Gainako and others deserve our compliment for bringing together diverse groups of people.
I will pass on your warm compliment to Pa Modou, he is a hard working humble brother. Much respect.

Thanks for sharing. Extend my warm regards to Pa Njie. I e-mailed him two weeks ago, telling him how great his site was. It happens that one of the famous fulas fiddlers featured on his site (Jamo Jawel from Fawung) died. I congratulate him for the award, as may be the general consensus of the many music fans, including my self.
The video is cutting through my intestines as in nolstalgia. That is a weeding of my immediate uncle. Those dancing in the video are my immediate family members -Sintetarians. It doesn't help much sometimes, especially after I left those cultures a decade ago, but I guess it is ok to touch the heart's wounds....and get wounded all over again with the type of cultural music.
In any way, keep it in that direction as I shared before. It is much better than engaging in tearing politics which only takes us back to square one. & no heart feelings over the gap in sharing threads. Politics just scares me off! Thanks for the compliments on the ALD coverage, only that it is my belief that credit is little for Gainako, and all for the eloquent speakers.

We especially thank Njok for providing a brilliant comment about his friend. Some of us don't know Pa Modou personally, however his work touch us all. I hope Gambians can visit the site for proof of what we are saying. I very much enjoy the late Alieu Darboe's encounter with the late maverick Daa Jalo (speaking singer) Jalanng Dembo from Tujeren.
