Bamba, are you OK. Can you please go back and read what you are attributing to Momodou Nyang? And also, can you please stop sending me private mails when dealing with issues that are started on public mailing lists?

I have checked all mails i received from the G L and post and do not see any from the Momodou Nyang you talking about.

the momodou Nyang who wrote this................................................."Bamba, of course UDP will remain the biggest party... And that's ok because u will never win as long as darbo is the leader. ...................................................................no one care about UDP. It will and can remain a dead elephant without purpose. For your information, I knew about UDP from its onset... I toured with lawyer darbo from koina to kartong in 1996, starting with the launching of UDP in brikama. So your failure is not a surprise to me"

gdproject /and Brother Haruna,
I belief that should be taught to such political illiterates like my dear friend Momodou Nyang who was once a wagging follower of Darboe from Koina to Kartong(according to him) but who now thinks the man is not fit to lead and should just step down
I do like him a lot and I would want you to lecture him on democracy not mbokacracy, sifassacracy, or jung yacracy. Seasoned politicians do foresee like the way sears see into the future.
With our love for the Gambia, we can never be conned into wealth seekers or force fame on our selves. Those are God's to give and only he chooses without anyone's advice whom to bless
with such gifts.
Ndoke go learn politics. Some can't be found inside university libraries!

This is the value in a democracy and independent people whose freedom of expression and associaition for religion and industry are guaranteed. They are generally the most healthy and happiest people of the world. Haruna. You're a good man Cous Fakoo Fakoo. It may be time for you to hand your job back to your fellow American.

Date: Wed, 14 Mar 2012 16:46:10 -0400 Haruna, I am glad that UDP realize that they should listen to the peoples choices. Going by your thinking, I hope the next step is for darbo to hand over to nyassi or peters.

Thanx Cous Fakoo Fakoo. Dodou Kassa's head is in the right place. This is what we must admire in our fellow citizens. An INDEPENDENT candidate is an unaffiliated candidate for the purposes of any election. They are free to rejoin their parties after the election or form a new party or even join another party if they so desire. They must however go through the proper resignation and deregistration each time they become independent candidates or change membership in any civic organization. Perhaps Cous Fakoo Fakoo you'll begin to see the value of this propriety beyond your usual smallness. Imagine a future Gambia where voters are free to associate with any political party at any time. However, when you are a member of a party, you must demonstrate integrity by remaining LOYAL to that party. The idea is that you are not beholden to any political party, be it APRC, UDP, PDOIS, NRP, ppp, GMC, or GPDP. If you're not a member of any party, you are free to vote
for any one of them, at any time. Whaddoyou think Cous Fakoo Fakoo??
Haruna.

I do not belong to any political party – Says Kassa Jatta
Africa » Gambia
Wednesday, March 14, 2012
One-time youth leader of the opposition United Democratic Party (UDP), Dodou Kasa Jatta, has told The Point that he does not belong to any political party, and stressed that he is contesting the 29th March parliamentary poll under an independent ticket.
“I have said in an earlier interview that I was not going to contest the polls, but if my people want me to represent them, I will contest,” Jatta told The Point in an interview yesterday, adding that this is what has motivated him to seek for the Bakau constituency seat, which is currently being held by the ruling APRC party.
“I am contesting because the people of Bakau want me to be their candidate, and I will be their candidate,” he stated.
According to him, if elected to represent his people in parliament, he will focus on speaking on behalf of the people of Bakau, and will work towards addressing their needs and concerns.
He said he will strive to bring rapid socio-economic development to the doorsteps of the residents of Bakau, as well as foster togetherness and unity in the constituency.
On his electoral chances, especially as the seat is currently under the APRC party, Kasa Jatta said victory for him depends on the Almighty Allah, noting that God has already decided who the winner is.
“I know for certain that the people of Bakau, especially the youths are rallying behind me, and I’m sure of victory,” he added.
While calling for calm ahead of the polls, Jatta said politics should not bring differences among people in his constituency, and the country in particular.
“Everyone in Bakau belongs to the same family, and the same country,” he stated.
