Police Questions Pa Sallah Jeng, Lai Conteh

  According to reliable sources, the suspended mayor of Banjul was on Tuesday invited to the Fraud Squad Unit for questioning over allegations of misappropriation of BCC funds.
  In the same vein, the former mayor of the Kanifing Municipal Council, Abdoulie Conteh, after his discharge and acquittal by the High  Court in Banjul yesterday, was two hours later  re-arrested by officers of the fraud squad for questioning.
  By the time of going to press, Lai Conteh was still detained at the Police Headquarters.
