Joe ,
I did take note of your observations and do not dispute them , even though I failed to
mention it in my first post . Notwithstanding , they can not dwarf Ouza's  banner of  a
great militant .

Gibby, I think you misread me unless I am mistaken. I am equally aware of Ouza's music and politics, thus, my beef. How do you reconcile Ouza's stance visa vie Senghore, Joof, and now Wade, yet he goes to Gambia to sing Yaya's praise and go home with a bag full of our resources just like Youssou, Chon, Vivian, Assan, Koumba, etc.? Is that not a contradiction? Is Ouza's activism restricted to the boarders of Senegal? Ouza can be all progressive, but if he cannot see the plight of Gambians then I say we boycott his behind just like the rest. The greater blame goes to you and I, for we can never see our interest as others ride over us. Let us continue to patronize the Ouza's of this world while they are friends with Babili Mansa and to tell the rest of the world that "Yalla Kor Fa Teg", yet he releases a video to fight against the excesses of Wade on earth. I am not going to wait until Ouza see reason, I am demanding that he se the plight
of Gambians equally, as they suffer from murders, abductions, severe poverty, and mass looting of our treasury among other things. I don't know about you Gibby, but I have a big problem with double standards. May be you need to inform Ouza about the plight of Gambians, for he does not seem to recognize it for the good time at kanilai.

Joe ,
With all due respect Ouza has always been at the forefront when it comes to
championing the rights of the masses . He was always at loggerheads with the
Senghor regime for its entire existence . In fact Ouza was an exile in Gambia
during part of Senghor 's presidency .
He had a brief honeymoon with Diouf''s regime but he soon lashed out at his rule
when he noted that it was almost a continuation of the Senghor regime . He left
the prestigious post of director of Senegal's national theater ( Daniel Sorano ) and
went back to use his art to denounce power .

When Wade was vying for the presidency he sided with him hoping that he will carry
through his SOPI ( change ) message . He did not . He even was evicted from his
state subsidized low cost housing ( HLM ) for his support for Wade .

And now again , being always true to himself , Ouza is turning against Wade because
he has betrayed the people .
You only need to be familiar with Oza's repertoire to discover the many progresive songs
he composed in the service of the common good .

Mbodge, a conscious clip indeed. This is where my major beef is with these Senegalese musicians lies: Ouza, Youssou, etc. When things are going bad in Senegal, you see them side with the people. However, as Gambians are being terrorized by a brutal dictator, you see the same clowns go to Gambia to Woyaane and to tell Yaya that "Yalla Kor Fa Taage" and leave with bundles of our resources. The Seringe is also getting his cut. I blame us though. For while they are celebrating our abuse, Gambians are among the chief patrons of these folks. It is about time we start boycotting any Musician that strokes Jammeh's ego at our expense. The other day I saw an interview with Youssou Ndure, foaming about the crisis in Senegal as he should rightfully do. However, when he went to play for Yaya and the APRC in the wake of the Deyda Murder all he could see is money. Gambians are to blame though, for many of us are still deep in sleep and will do anything for a good
time. Thus, the Senegalese musicians will continue to sing the praise of Yaya while we dance along. I hope Ouza will also be conscious about the plight of Gambians.
