Thank you Demba for this valuable get. I look forward to hearing Mustapha on Gainako radio. A wonderful celebration of an accomplished Gambian. We need more of this - I mean aside from politics interviews. Thank you Gainako.

 Haruna.

Subject: [G_L] Gambian borned Psychiatric Practitioner Discusses Mental Health Issues, ADHD, Among other Diseases Affecting Gambian Communities...

Gambian psychiatric Nurse Practitioner resident in Seattle Washington Mr. Mustapha Hydara born and brought up in Dasilami near Kombo Brikama was our guest at Gainako radio on Sunday May 12, 2013. Mr. Hydara (fondly called Islim) was born in Gambia of Mauritanian parents who were a successful business family in Gambia. His parents later moved to Kaur in the north Bank of the Central River Division where he completed primary education and later proceeded to Muslim High School to complete his high school education graduating in 1990.
Mr. Hydara then immigrated to the United States and ended up in Seattle in the State of Washington. Like many Gambian immigrants, Mr. Hydara struggled his way through low end jobs working as a Nurses Assistant while he pursues further education in college. He studied for his Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), then his Bachelors degree at the University of Washington. He further did his Masters degree in Nursing at the Seattle University where he studied Psychiatric and Mental Health medicine. Mr. Hydara is currently a doctoral student in Psychiaric medicine at the University of Washington. He is currently a Nurse Practitioner working at NAVOS Psychiatric Hospital in West Seattle. He also runs a private Psychiatric clinic in Kent WA and is a preferred provider in many Northwest Health care Insurance providers.
Tune in to Gainako Radio @ http://gainako.com/?p=721 to listen to the interesting and educating information..

As always your, support and feedback positive or otherwise is greatly appreciated...
