*Black mothers, original mothers to the world, are crying. They are crying
because their husbands and fathers, their daughters and sons, their families
and communities are being destroyed systematically, daily and totally. Black
mothers are crying because they are witnessing the destruction of their race
worldwide.

More Black mothers attend the pre-mature funerals of their children than any
other group of mothers anywhere in the world. Black children die by
violence, many times inflicted by other Black children, and/or many times
because they have run afoul of the political or police system in their
community. They die of accidents and illnesses from which mothers of other
cultures and races are able to protect their children.*[image: Black Star

More Black mothers attend the prison sentencing hearings of their sons than
do any other people in the history of Western civilization. Sending young
Black men to prison today is a lucrative industry. Black mothers cry when
many of their sons drop out of school, are indicted on various charges, or
are convicted to years or decades in prison. They continue to cry when their
sons are freed to come back into a world that will begin the destruction
process all over again.

More Black mothers are watching their daughters contract HIV/AIDS than ever
before. In sub-Sahara Africa (Black Africa), between 20 million and 35
million people are diagnosed with HIV/AIDS and the epidemic is repeating
itself in many Black communities across the world. In the state of Maryland,
84 percent of newly diagnosed AIDS cases are Black people. Of those, most
are young Black women between 13-and 35 years of age! What quality of life
does this portend for the future of Blacks in Maryland or anywhere else in
the world for that matter?

*[image: Black Star Logo]*Black mothers have had nothing but challenges over
the years. They were stolen from the bosom of Africa more than 500 years
ago, raped and used as concubines and breeders during slavery, and then
beaten and belittled for decades between slavery and the civil rights
movement. And now, they are presiding over the demise of their race in the
21st century. It is understandable that the tears of Black mothers are
flowing like great rivers into an ocean of pain and despair.

Black mothers world wide are crying. Their children are at the bottom of the
global education system and at the top of the world incarceration system.
Black men lack the skills necessary to compete in the global economy and
consequently over-populate the ranks of the disenfranchised and permanently
unemployed. The psychological and emotional pressures of modern day society
are causing Black people to succumb to record levels of mental illness.
Almost every major indicator shows that Black children and Black men die
younger, faster and more often than children and men in any other ethnic
group in America.

Black mothers must work in a structured, systematic, coordinated** manner to
address that which is happening to Black people in America and to stop the
possible elimination of African people from the planet. Black mothers must
take to the streets, the malls, the beauty shops, the clubs, schools,
libraries, churches, jails, government offices and businesses to address
this international catastrophe -- the destruction of Black children, Black
men and young Black women. Black mothers must organize family-by-family,
house-by-house, block-by-block, street-by-street, community-by-community,
city-by-city, state-by-state, and country-by-country to save the descendants
from Africa all over the world.

Black mothers must come to the realization, that they will either organize
around a vision of what the Black family can be and what Black people can do
in this modern world; or they, their children, their men, their families and
their communities will perish!

*[image: Black Star Logo]*The work of Black mothers includes:

1) Mentoring young Black women and young Black girls;

2) Helping young Black parents improve their parenting skills;

3) Developing special strategies to successfully raise and educate Black
male children;

4) Teaching Black young women to create and maintain healthy, positive
relationships with young Black men;

5) Working with schools and teachers to ensure that their children are
properly educated;

6) Partnering with their husbands, their children's fathers, and Black men
in general to ensure the proper social, spiritual, intellectual and
emotional development of Black children;

7) Working with business, government and educational systems to **create
communities and environments of excellence for Black children;

8) Teaching Black mothers how to create and implement ''Family Education
Plans'' for all children in the Black community;

9) Disseminating information that will help nurture, educate, empower and
protect Black children, young Black women and Black men;

Black mothers cannot wait for government, faith-based institutions,
traditional male leadership, fathers and men, schools or anyone else to save
their children. Black mothers must take the destiny of African people into
their capable hands and hold it close to their hearts. The original mothers
to the world are about to assume their rightful place in history.and the
future. The time for crying is over. Now it is time for action!
