Haruna

Why is a rebellion against injustice either illegitimate, or criminal, or both?

Don't you think the oppressor is properly regarded as the criminal?

I refer you to the UN's extensive guiding principles on this issue. I encourage you to review the the doctrine of self-determination as developed over the decades.

Lemme know why you support oppressors, instead of those in legitimate struggles for self-determination, like your "Tuareg Syndicate in North Mali".

I hear you Hous. I hasten to add though that there are legitimate Rebellions. The devil is in the details. I do agree with you that this Nkunda Monkey is a gratuitous criminal just like the Tuareg Syndicate in North Mali and the MFDC in Southern Senegal. In my opinion, any rebellion based on the emancipation or secession of one ethnic group in a multi-ethnic nation is both illegitimate and criminal. Any rebellion based on a singular occupation or culture among a multi-occupational and multi-cultural people is illegitimate and criminal. I hope the AU and the UN amend their policies accordingly.
Haruna. Thanx again Hous for your input.

Thank God .Hopefully there will be some political stability in the region after all these years of chaos. I'm no fan of rebels. They are nothing but bunch of opportunist.President Mugabe is a good example.
