aloha, deon!

DT asked:

So how do I expose the group to this open source project?

GJR replies:

first of all, whilst i'm typing with my listowner hat firmly on top of my
head, thanks for sharing your project with BLIND-DEV... the natural
point-of-departure would be to:

a) post a URI from which your prototype can be downloaded

b) keep a detailed CHANGELOG

c) keep the list updated - post when new files are available or a bug is
confounding - if the traffic isn't too great, you could do this via
BLIND-DEV, but i'd ask (make that insist) that you use a Subject line
prefix, such as:

Subject: OSSR: [type actual subject here]

OSSR, being an acronym for Open Source Screen Reader... ultimately -- and
probably sooner, rather than later -- in order to make the skeins and
threads as traceable as possible (i.e. before the project takes off as an
open source project), you will probably want to start your own list, which
can serve as both a Q&A list and a feedback loop slash bug report list,
such as LYNX-DEV (consult http://www.flora.org/lynx-dev/html/ to peruse
the Lynx-Dev archive, which is the bug-fix slash feedback slash suggestion
slash problem-solving list for the volunteers developing and maintaining
Lynx, the text based browser (http://lynx.browser.org/)

d) get user feedback

e) listen to user feedback

f) get more varied user feedback

g) listen to user feedback

by the way, i assume that you are developing for the Windows platform --
correct?

gregory (who finally got the fiberglass cast off his left leg - -whoo-hoo!)
