My sister said fractured l1. I’m assuming that means lumbar 1. Sandy, that the lower back, right? so the first lumbar starts at the lower back, and you count them going up to the neck? I tend to think the first one is at the top and you count them going down from the neck or upper back, wherever it is.

Apparently he's been able to get relief from a medication other than morphine which didn't work and caused more confusion than he has already. Judy and his caregiver don't think he has dementia like I previously thoughten He's apparently just confused, and he seems to know that. It goes up and down, like when he gets dehydrated or has other issues. Dad agreed that those who have stayed with him are free to go home for the night, but they want him to stay for several days, then be moved to a care facility until he's able to be mobile. The team on the evening shift seems caring. He's tired and might be sleeping by now.
