They recently have become guardians for two small boys that are brothers, ages three and four. They are almost twins in looks and behavior. Some of you know Gretchen’s background and history so I will save that for another time. I have a prayer request. In recent days, Mike had a severe headache. It became so bad, Gretchen took him to the Emergency Room. They did not know what was wrong so they ordered up an MRI for him. The MRI technician noticed one of Mike’s eyes was not moving and reported it. To make a long story short, Mike had a stroke and is partially paralyzed on the left side of his body. Mike is 38 years old. He could not lift his left arm or left leg and his speech wasn’t quite normal for awhile. Things are improving and today he could lift his left hand all the way to his head and he can, with help, get out of bed and stand. His speech seems normal. He likely will need a lot of physical therapy. His blood pressure has been high and uncontrolled for some time. It appears that he has a clot in an artery in the brain. Once they get his blood pressure under control, he will undergo extensive physical therapy. His speech is normal. We have not gotten a report on his condition yet today; Wednesday. Your prayers are appreciated.
