Thanks Suntou. I just wish to protest that I do not consider myself learned
at all. Just a student of life like the rest of us.

You see, one of my biggest problems with Mugabe is his insistence on staying
in power indefinitely. My point is that Mugabe is not the only Zimbabwean
capable of running that country or carrying out the land reform program.
Even among his own party, there are certainly other people capable of
governing Zimbabwe. Mugabe has been in power since 1980 - 27 years for God's
sake! Let someone else take over from within or oustide the ruling party and
carry on the land reforms. Surely there are others capable of carrying on
the land reforms?

Thus, it is not a matter of pandering to the West or seeing Africa through
western eyes, which is a contradiction in terms unless you are either a
westerner or have been so thorougly brainwashed that you are a white man in
black skin or, as Fanon would put it, a black skin in white mask. Zimbabwe
needs a change of leadership, as does many other captive nations in Africa -
Togo, Cameroon, Gambia, Eritrea being just a few blatant examples. Mugabe is
old, tired, paranoid, almost a vegetable. Of course, he loves the power and
the glory of being comrade Mugabe etc. But he needs to go; give Zimbabwe and
the people of Zimbabwe a break from his nauseating presence. That is my
point. Thanks.

Baba
