Let's call a spade a spade! The editorial is explicit and regardless of
what side we support, the reaction to this kinds of messages should be
swift and unambiguous. Calling our years of struggle "political
adventurism" and the timing of it coming in the midst of our colleagues
being arrested is simply ill conceived and uncalled for. You would think
that Halifa and the rest of PDOIS will see our struggle in themselves as
for years they have been on the march, enduring hardship, isolation,
poverty and what not? You will think by now a group that claims to be so in
tuned with the realities of the world would recognize that the situation in
Banjul cannot be resolved through diplomatic means. You will think that a
well read group have a greater understanding of the gist of the civil
rights movement and the apartheid struggle in South Africa.

But no! the critics long time accusation against this group as their way or
the highway have explicitly manifested itself in this editorial and recent
responses to PDOIS Members. For several times Halifa in particular have
insinuated that any genuine change will have to pass through them and other
parties on the ground... Well, we have news for them, *Change is coming to
Gambia* *with or without them*. Citizens are sick and tired of playing nice
to a brutal dictator who will go at any length to crush our citizens with
no exception... this is embarrassing, insulting and I personally reject any
characterization of our struggle in the Diaspora as *"political adventurism"
* and needing to go back to the drawing board. We have passed that stage
and there is no going back!!!!!!!!!

What they did to Coach is equivalent to a father whooping their boy for misbehaving. Coach is more than fit to think for himself and for one to call him robot/blind follower, you cannot get lower than that. There is also something that is a pattern with PDOIS write-ups. Have you ever heard them use such description on Yaya who is murdering Gambians and has the country under siege? Yet, the same peaceniks will lash out at their associates or others in opposition Gambia. What the hell is going on? Yaya has lived like a robot and has been killing Gambians like a robot, how about PDOIS using such language on him for a change? When it comes to Yaya, they take the posture that they respect him and he pays them no mind, yet, they will throw all sorts at the rest of us. They said what they had to say, Coach will respond as he sees fit regardless how you and I feel.
