The peaceful demonstration did go on up to the State house gates. the
protesters from various wards and the Youth carried slogans such as "Banjul
is not for sale" etc. Their grievance as i said was against the selection
process. I understand there is yet to be a response from the President. The
demonsration details can be read in today's observer. There are similar
protests from APRC members over the irregular selection of one Kemo Conteh
over the others in old Jeshwang for the local govt elections. Political
parachuting seems to be rife amongst the APRC ranks.
