Tom, try the following. I recently sent these steps to a friend; she was
successful. I hope you will be as well.

Renaming Folders
1.	Use Control "y" to open the list of folders.
2.	Select the desired folder, or subfolder, by arrowing down or using
first-letter navigation. Remember, to access subfolders, you may have to
open the primary folder (e.g. "Recipes" is primary and "Salads" is a
subfolder. Open folders by tapping right arrow; close them via left arrow.
3.	Once the desired folder/subfolder is selected, tap Enter. Focus
moves inside of that folder. If you haven't put messages in that folder, it
will be blank of course. Otherwise, focus will be on the list of messages
in that folder.
4.	Open folder settings by tapping/releasing "Alt" (either button left
or right of Spacebar.
5.	Arrow right 2 times; "Folder Tab" should be selected/heard.
6.	Tap Down Arrow 1 time.
7.	Right Arrow 2 times over until you hear/see, "action Rename Folder".
Tap Enter.
8.	You will hear the original folder name. Type the new name; the old
name is erased when you type the first letter. Or, edit by moving the
cursor/deleting. If you edit, make sure the cursor is at the end of the new
folder name. If you choose not to edit, but rather just start
typing/replacing what was there, the cursor should be at the end of the new
folder name. When the cursor is at the end of the new folder name, tap
Enter, and you will be back in the list of folders.
9.	In order to get JAWS to announce the new folder name, you may have
to navigate up/down the list.
10.	At this point, you may want to tap Left Arrow until at the top of
folders (e.g. the Tom main folder), and arrow down 1 time to "In Box," or
use first-letter navigation (the letter "I") to select the "In Box." Once
selected, tap Enter.

Subject: [VICUG-L] How Do I Rename A Folder In Outlook?

Hello list: Can anyone tell me how I go about renaming a folder in Outlook
(it's an email folder) I have something spelled wrong, causing Jaws to not
say it properly (I know what the folder should say) so that's not a real big
deal; I still would like to know if I can rename it, so it Jaws Pronounces
it right! Running Windows 10 and Jaws 2024!
Thanks,
Tom Kaufman
